Over the years, we’ve watched authors suffer through outdated submissions processes that take months, have faced outdated submission systems, months of radio silence, and a sense of sending their best work into a void. We’ve been there. We know the frustration. And we decided to change that.

 

Fredonia Ink Publishing was established in 2024 as a call to arms to enable women as emerging authors.

As the owners pondered the direction of FIP, they came to realize that women were underrepresented and therefore they offered a venue that focused on women who love crime in all its forms. We’re a completely independent and a women-owned publisher of crime fiction and dark literature.​​

 

Why Fredonia? Fredonia means "freedom". And since we deal in fiction, we’d like to think Fredonia means “Free thinking woman.”

Here at Fredonia Ink, we pride ourselves on our transparency and ongoing communication. We build long lasting, supportive relationships with all our authors. Once an author is welcomed into the fold, they’re part of the family.

Our books are published in print and digital formats, with a strong emphasis on the digital. We focus our energy on online distribution and getting our authors the returns they deserve. Our vision for the future is to bring an incredible list of crime, horror, and literary titles into the world. Above all else, we want our authors to succeed, and be free to pursue the writing life they love.​​​​
